Employment Tribunals

Sometimes, either due to business imperatives or poor management, the preparations discussed in relation to the other topics in this People Manager series, are not undertaken or are only partly implemented. Occasionally, despite all best efforts, the employee parts company with his or her employer in acrimonious circumstances. These situations often give rise to the employee pursuing a claim to an Employment Tribunal.

What's needed to assess and if appropriate, defend many of these claims is experienced HR support. Sometimes specialist legal expertise is required, for example to defend a complex sex, race, or disability discrimination claim.

We will conduct an initial investigation of the claim you face and advise whether its an issue we can assist you with directly or whether professional legal advise is required. If so we will recommend one of our specialist Legal Advisers to carry out the necessary legal work.
